Lean Champions
Participant stories
What participation means to the people behind the improvements.
Personal experiences shared with the authors’ consent.
I had the pleasure of attending one of the Lean Champions meetings and can share my positive impressions of the format. For me, this is one of the most effective events in supporting the growth of Bulgarian businesses. The constructive competition it creates also contributes to the continuous improvement of processes. I would recommend that every manufacturing company take part in these meetings.
No matter how much experience you have or how well you know the processes within your own organisation, there is always something to learn and build on. This is one of the greatest benefits of the Lean Champions initiative.
Sharing experience with each of the participating companies gave us the opportunity to look at familiar challenges from a different perspective, see real solutions in a real manufacturing environment and exchange ideas with professionals who have consciously chosen the path of continuous improvement.
For us, the initiative also played another very important role: it gave us a clear rhythm for development. Every quarter, we had a specific goal and a project that had to be completed and presented. This helped us not just to generate ideas, but to systematically turn them into real improvements.
Over time, each individual project became part of a larger puzzle. When these pieces begin to fit together, you no longer see just separate improvements: you see the overall picture of your organisation’s development.
For me, Lean Champions is not only an initiative for sharing good practices, but a community of people and companies who learn from one another, challenge one another and together raise the standard of manufacturing culture.
